![]() I’m willing to take chances on something that could help people turn their garbage into a sustainable resource. So why, when the Kickstarter for Lomi began, was I willing to risk paying for yet another device? There are many reasons. Most of those experiences were disappointing, and most people would have been skittish to try yet another company’s version. This is not the first composting device I’ve owned, so I have prior experiences to compare it to. I did get it for less than its $499 retail price by being an early bird supporter. I was one of the backers who Kickstarted the Lomi Composter – and thus, I paid for this device that I’m about to review with no compensation. Cost reductions for repairs, Upgrades.I have to start this piece on Lomi compost by admitting that I am a compost gadget geek. Mechanic (Vehicles = life saving water in a desert). I think it was after difficulty applied.Ĭomputer (you just can really luck out and should take it) (then again its just 1 outpost) dammit, can't recall if its the base or after difficulty increase. "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!"įood reduction skills should be amazing on Lethal. Its stupid how these skills give any resoureces at all, but hey they produce 2. ![]() I didn't find the other explosives that good at all, costs that is. With the FIlling mod + Chem you get 12 per craft (something like 4 Fuel, 80 parts, some chemicals). On my 3rd lethal play.Ĭhem is great, and munitions on it. I guess it kind of depends if people are going to do it 100% fresh or just stomp with loaded community or survivors (which im sure most do). Could be higher but i finished my first Lethal run on day 12 (idk if it is good or not) so i did not had time to fully upgrade the lounge x) So Enact rationing is always activated but countered by Feasts (nutrition) bonuses and with Lounge and plague hearts kills you can go up to 30+ morale. the result is that i did my first Lethal run without building a garden xD Computer is nice to have too, because you can increase your number of food outposts after upgrading command center lvl 3. So I went for Lichenologist (some people will argue with that), Chemistry (Pharmacology early on) and Cooking (Nutrition OP). Note that by doing this technique, none of my survivor threatened to leave or left yet.It is just quite dangerous if they get frustrated while injured I think Proctection method is the safest by far, mine is just another way to play the game. ![]() And i have a self sufficient base on day 1 with a lichenologist and positive food production (like +0.75 or so). My people have Hopeless morale very often but when someone is frustrated i just take them out of the base for a ride. day 1 was producing +4 food with outposts and dangerously enabled food rationing as soon as i moved to the base. I simply looted what I needed, or traded for it. And by the time I clicked on Food Rationing, I was at 9 survivors. By the time I could produce more than 3 food per day, I was at 7 survivors I think. I started with 3 Soundproofing experts (randoms), and there was no rush to get this or get that in the beginning because that was the least of my worries. ![]() In other words, since it takes a while to even get to the point where you can afford to start producing stuff, it doesn't really matter who you start with. You need to destroy Plague Hearts and Infestations regularly to boost Morale, and you should aim to choose a Trader leader and build a Trading Post as soon as you can, so that you get hold of the Facility Mods that you need. Before that point, progress is going to be excrutiatingly slow because of the low morale, and fights will bring that morale even more down. And you should ideally have both a Slow Cooker, Feast and even a White Noise Generator before activating Food Rationing. Your people might leave if you do that when your community is Miserable already.īefore you have Water and Power, none of that is a feasible solution. You also can't really enable Food Rationing in the Kitchen before you have stabilized Morale. But it takes time to build up an advanced enough Farm or Garden and you need to be lucky to get hold of a Bag of Fertilizer or Compost Bin early in order to produce 7-9 Food per day. As your community grows, Food production will be the biggest issue in Lethal.
